The local film community is on the rise – thanks in part to our next guests who have made a few high-profile films in Arkansas.

Watch as director Sean Olson and co-producer Christian Beckman join Good Day NWA to unveil details on a new project that has been filmed in nine different locations throughout Northwest Arkansas. The movie is Hazardous Duty, from the first book in the Squeaky Clean Mysteries series from author Christy Barrett.

We spoke with the filmmakers of "F.R.E.D.I.", Director & Writer Sean Olson, Writer & Producer Johnny Remo and Executive Producer Christian Beckman. This film was shot locally in and around the Bentonville area. Skipstone Pictures movie "F.R.E.D.I." was entered as a Competition - Feature Narrative film in the Bentonville Film Festival. "F.R.E.D.I." made its world premiere at this year's Bentonville Film Festival and secured the coveted Best of the Fest award.

Geena Davis’ Bentonville Film Festival, which champions women and diverse voices in media, on Saturday announced its 2018 award winners.

The ceremony was hosted by The Real’s Loni Love, and presenters included festival co-founders Davis and Trevor Drinkwater and actress Stephanie Beatriz, with performances by Martina McBride and the Latin X Theater Project.

F.R.E.D.I. was filmed at many of Bentonville’s iconic sites.
